It’s difficult to enter into this work because of how the optical suggestions of the gesture contextualize the inherent over-specificity.

My Final Project! Read on for more insight!
Suspended pine cone. The cage provides some form of protection. Kind of the way the pine cone would cling onto the old tree itself before it finally detaches and falls off.
Pine cones holding seeds and future tree life contrast with the aged, now dead, tree bark. Something about the way two different stages of life are tied together.
Trapped pine cones until they are freed.
Close up on the caged pine cones.
Also part of my final project! A new response to: How do you like your eggs?

Empty hammock. Made with a single continuous piece of wire.

Nature, rustic, abandon, empty, hollow, space
Sunny side up. Shiny, raw, friendly, smile, blank, gross, emptiness, hygiene, cute.
Eva Hesse. Intertwining, minimalism with feeling, that is my favorite part of her work. Eva Hesse is known for her minimalist work that holds a lot of underlying emotion that hits differently depending on the viewer’s mood at the time. I looked at her work upon Professor Yao’s suggestion, thanks!
More from Eva Hesse.
Kelly Lim. Crochet, minimalism again, roadside art, making a space a place, adding humor.

Packed (Lunch) With Love
Abandoned angle. Reminiscent of an abandoned packed lunch rejected by a schoolchild in favor of the “in-crowd”.
